As a result of our clients most recent project, they are increasing their HV capability and have exciting opportunities for Assembly Technicians to join their team.

In this role you will be required to support the build, repair and service of designated battery sub-assemblies ensuring the preparation, presentation and safety is of the highest standards. Whilst this will be your main priority you may also have the chance to get involved with car builds, engine builds and other assembly duties.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
– Minimum of secondary education
– At least 2 years of experience as a mechanic, engine builder, Sub assembly technician or Battery technician
– Experience working within a small group and with external clients.
– Able to follow procedures/processes.
– Able to record the completion of various processes.

Desirable but not essential:
– HND or equivalent
– Understanding of Lithium Ion cells
– Previous experience of working with HV components

Sub Assembly Supervisor

In order to support our clients current and new exciting projects, we are on the look out for a Sub Assembly Supervisor on a permanent basis.

As a Sub Assembly Supervisor you will be responsible for the efficient management of the Sub Assembly Department. You will be flexible and able to work on your own initiative as well as being an effective team supervisor and communicator.

Essential:

– Project management skills with an understanding of Microsoft project software

Desirable:
– A HNC in Engineering/Management
– Experience of stock planning and control, practical fabrication and machining.

Our engineers are involved in delivering complete design solutions: balancing mass, stiffness, cost and resources for components and assemblies. You will have diverse exposure to variety of car areas and manufacturing methods (metallics, composites, fabrication, additive manufacturing) and will also be involved in designing bespoke solutions whilst developing and integrating parts from technical partners (dampers, wheels, brakes etc).

As the Senior Project Engineer you will plan and coordinate project engineering activities through close work with the rest of the Delivery Group, Commercial and the Operational Support Department to agree and deliver on engineering project plans and deadlines. You will lead and manage engineering elements of projects ensuring that efficient, cost-effective, customer focused projects, products and services are delivered at all times.

With a 2:1 degree in mechanical or motorsport engineering, and at least 4 years` experience in an engineering role within a fast pace automotive or motorsport environment, you must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of all race car systems. You will also have had exposure to project management including budgets, quotes, scheduling and management.

Experience of using Unigraphics NX9, Teamcentre, Surfacing and FEA would be advantageous, as would exposure to a variety of racing disciplines and HV technology.

Head of Performance Engineering

Head of Performance Engineering

Our client is looking to appoint a Head of Performance Engineering to lead their team of Race, Test and Data Engineers to supporting their customers.

As the Senior Engineer on event you will be responsible for all engineering decisions, and as such will be the key communication link between customers, engineers, drivers and technicians.

Communication skills, team work and diplomacy are essential skills to be successful in this exciting role, and you will also have experience of driver management, proven analytical skills and be familiar with modern data logging systems.

With a 2:1 degree in mechanical engineering, and at least 8 years`experience in a race engineering role within a motorsport environment, you must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of all race car systems and have a good understanding of vehicle dynamics, assessment methods and optimisation.

Experience of writing code for simulators, use of Matlab and Simulink would be advantageous, as would exposure to a variety of racing disciplines and HV technology. Project and budget management experience would also be beneficial.

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Principal Powertrain Design Engineer to lead and manage Powertrain Design Engineering Projects as part of their exciting powertrain department.

Our client can offer you a wide scope of projects from racing cars competing in series such as the World Touring Car Championship, prototype vehicles like the impressive Nissan ZEOD RC, supercars such as the Aston Martin Vulcan road conversion pack and concept cars like the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge.

With at least 7 years` experience in a Powertrain design role within a quality motorsport environment, you must be able to validate design through calculation, have good 3D modelling and technical drawing skills and have good knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

Proven managerial skills, including project planning, an innovative approach to design and experience of engine clean sheet design are all essential skills in order to be successful in this role.

Experience of FEA, Unigraphics NX9 and Teamcentre would be advantageous, but are not essential.

Location: Buckinghamshire

Salary: £32,000 – £42,000 per annum depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-Time

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our client, the ideal applicant must have the ability to work under pressure and ensure tight deadlines are met. The successful candidate will receive all the training required to be capable of dealing with the day to day issues within the Design Office.

Summary of Duties

The Design Office Manager will be responsible for attending the daily briefings to provide feedback on progress and raise relevant issues that may affect other departments or project that are underway. They should be able to assist Design Engineers with their feedback to both internal and external customers, have strong organisational skills that enable them to efficiently and effectively manage multiple projects whilst prioritising the workload of others and maintaining a fair work output themselves.

They should have an ability to deal with colleagues in an open and approachable manner which allows them to assist the Design Manager with general departmental duties, including development and training where necessary. Strong computer skills to use CAD, PLM and MRP systems in an efficient and effective manner, with a willingness to continually progress and improve their own skills.

Experience/Skills

  • 2 years’ Catia V5 experience and experience with a relevant PLM system.
  • Excellent part modelling, surface modelling, assembly creation and 2D drafting skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Well justified decision making skills.
  • Supervisory or Management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Design Engineering role.
  • Experience with a wide range of metrology equipment including CMM machines or FARO Arms.
